We've started out
the summer at Take Away Gourmet (formerly Dine by
Design) hot and heavy...literally and
figuratively! There's so much going on at
the storefront...we're filling lots of
Meals-To-Go orders, which helps us keep the Grab
& Go section well stocked and ready for you
to pick-up dinner on the way home tonight!
We're getting fun and interesting catering jobs,
which is so satisfying. And I'm working on
a cooking class schedule to carry us through the
rest of the summer!
My June
announcement is that I've made a change to the
Meals-To-Go menu which has been well
received. As many of you may remember,
with the Cook & Serve meals, those meals that you
must cook at home, the menu changed every
month. Research has shown that constantly
changing a menu makes it difficult for the
customer to become comfortable with a menu and
even more difficult for the restaurant to
provide a consistent offering (or maintain any bit
of sanity :)). So I've taken
customer favorites from each month and from many
flavor profiles and brought them together in one
set menu, for both the Cook & Serve and Heat
& Serve lines! No more waiting another
year to enjoy a favorite from last month's menu,
it's always on the menu. And with over 65
menu options from which to select, you won't be
missing any favorites! Oh, and that
doesn't count the Salads, Crowd-Pleasing
Casserole and Desserts that are now available to
order online.

Specials! This month's special: Tender
Beef Chunks in a Mushroom-Port Sauce on a bed of
(lightly) Buttered Egg Noodles for
$5.95!

This
and that...
I've
revamped the shopping cart to delineate more
food categories including: entrees, sides,
soups, salads, gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan
and vegetarian menu offerings.
I haven't finished
updating the website with nutritional data on
all the options, please bear with me while I
continue to complete this project.
I've redesigned the
logo to only reference Take Away Gourmet.
Unfortunately, a technical issue is preventing
me from uploading it into this e-mail
service. I hope to get that resolved
soon. But my website:

new logo, which was done by Graphic Design
Artist Sanna Saare.
We're working with a
sign company to change out the illuminated "Dine
by Design" sign and the banners for both Take
Away Gourmet and Yum Cupcakery.
The new cooking class
schedule should be posted very soon. I'll
send out a quick e-mail when I get them
posted.
Yum Cupcakery
continues to bake up some sweet treats. If
you haven't checked out the hottest new cupcake
bakery in Gainesville, then you must stop
by...you're in for a treat! Yum and Take
Away Gourmet share the same storefront...two
different businesses, one location. "Take
Away Gourmet...your sensible meals in between
your Yum cupcakes!"
